It all started when Toby volunteered as the photographer for his high school yearbook, although his path to becoming an award-winning photographer was not exactly direct.
He worked as a sociology professor, computer programmer, psychotherapist, and workplace trauma consultant before becoming a freelance photographer, then photojournalist and advertising photographer.
Now, he focuses his camera on people, the environment, fine art and current events.
With photographs accepted into the Sidney Fine Art Show and published in the Australian “Peace and Justice” competition, Toby has come a long way from the high school yearbook.
Toby’s art calendar featuring some of his Gulf Island images is available through his website at tobysnelgrovephotography.
